This class is designed to help the beginner
get started or to provide a refresher course and hone the
skills of the immediate/advanced photographer. You will get the most from this
class if you have a camera with manual settings (aperture/f-stops and shutter
speed controls) and a camera that will accept interchangeable lenses. Learn applications
for your particular needs and interests in creativity. Lessons apply to DIGITAL
as well as FILM cameras. You may even want to consider advancing to the continuation
of this course, Photo Basics II.

Gain full potential from your camera.
This class is a continuation of Digital and Film Photo basics
1 and is designed to further the knowledge of the beginner
as well as the intermediate/advanced photographer. Lessons
apply to DIGITAL or FILM cameras. You will get the most from
this
class if you have a camera with manual settings (aperture/f-stops and shutterspeed
controls) and a camera that will accept interchangeable lenses. An understanding
of the topics discussed in 'Photo Basics 1' or
completion of that class is recommended.
Learn by Doing in ONLY 3 lessons:
- How the shutter controls quantity of
light
- Learn about the shutter and shutter
speeds for crips sharp images or creative motion/movement
pictures
- Combining the shutter and aperture controls
for exposure options, as well as for creative effects.
- Understand shutter priority and aperture
priority settings
- Learn how your light meter works and
situations that can fool it, causing under/over exposed
pictures (too dark or too light)
- Metering modes: Matrix, center-weighted,
